Character
Cranberry Village is a collection of condo and townhome complexes built around the Cranberry golf course, which became Living Stone Resort in 2018 and is part of Living Water Resorts. It has a relaxed, resort feel and sits on the Town's West Circle trail route.
Homes you'll find
You'll find 1- to 4-bedroom condos and townhomes in several different complexes, each with its own condo corporation and fees. If rental income is part of your plan, know that the Town licenses short-term rentals (28 days or less) and ties those licences to principal residences in single detached homes, and each condo corporation has its own rental rules. I check both before you write an offer.
Amenities & walkability
Residents enjoy the golf course, a recreation centre, an outdoor pool and tennis, and Cranberry Marina is close by. Blue Mountain Resort is a short drive west, and downtown is about the same distance east.
Trails nearby
The Georgian Trail and the 7.7 km West Circle loop pass right by, which makes Cranberry Village one of the easiest places to step out the door and ride.
Who it suits
Golfers and skiers, families looking for a four-season weekend place, and buyers who want resort amenities without the price of the waterfront.
Schools & shops
Collingwood's public elementary schools are Admiral Collingwood, Cameron Street, Connaught and Mountain View; high school students attend Collingwood Collegiate Institute (public) or Our Lady of the Bay (Catholic). School boundaries shift as town grows, so I always have buyers confirm the school for a specific address with the board's school locator before they fall in love with a house.
Peter's take
Cranberry Village has a lot of variety for the price. Tell me how you plan to use the place (full time, weekends or renting it out) and I'll help narrow down which complex fits.
